Swam about 30 minutes on Tuesday. This is by far my worst of the three fitness tests of a triathlon. I'm certain my form wastes energy with messy splashes and unecessary twisting. I feel like a stone in the pool, ready to sink. This is made worse by my slow speed, like I'm hanging in the water ready to drop in an instant.
My running form has always been relaxed and smooth. I need some swimming lessons.
The only thing that stops me from swimming all the time is access to a pool. They are all distant and crowded.
To wrap up, I sit in cold water right now. Trying to get the legs fresh for Sunday. Overall, I feel a little run down, but I'm really excited to finish a triathlon.
