Whoa. Feeling some dramatic soreness from putting in some mileage. Thankfully, I finally bought a 10-pound bag of ice and am currently sitting in a bath tub of ice water (no lie). When I hopped in (OK, lowered myself slowly in) there was a rush of pain. The water was way too cold. Sounds like a problem, but actually the bigger problem is having water temperatures that don't get cold enough. I added a healthy dose of hot water and the bath is just the right icy temperature. I am a big believer in ice baths aiding recovery. Took a 55 degree ice bath for 10 minutes nearly everyday after college track practice. Why don't gyms have whirpools and ice machines?
Pro Tip: After the ice bath, take a hot shower. Then you can walk again.
